The Secrets
Of Executive Search ... Bob
Melançon is the Managing Principal of Melançon & Company, a
Dallas, Texas based, Retained Executive Search and Consulting firm with
roots dating back to 1973. He
is also a noted speaker, writer, and author — and is widely considered
an authority on the subject of executive selection. Bob
graduated from Loyola University where he received a bachelor’s degree
(cum laude) in Business Administration with a minor in Labor Management,
and holds NASD Series 6 and 63 securities licenses.
Prior to entering the executive search profession, he enjoyed a
highly successful corporate career in human resources management with
three of the country’s leading Fortune 50 corporations — Shell Oil
Company, Celanese Corporation, and Frito-Lay, Inc. In 1980, Bob left the corporate world to become an executive search consultant, and has served as the Managing Principal of Melancon & Company for the past 20+ years. His background in executive recruitment is unique in that he has been involved in the staffing process from all perspectives — as the candidate being recruited, as a representative of the hiring corporation, and as a search consultant serving as an agent for all parties in the recruitment process.
"The Secrets of Executive Search" is published by John Wiley & Sons and is available at all major bookstores, or online at Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, and most other online booksellers.
